A new penguin update was unrolled by Google just over a year of making the last update. Google Penguin 3.0 is the name given to it and it was ascertained that the algorithm update that started rolling out late on Friday night (October 17th) is the most recent iteration of the large-scale “Penguin”.
Less than one percent of search queries in English will be impacted by this update, however, the next couple of weeks will see them rolling out. MOZ’s stand is that no major issues have been caused by penguin so far.
So What Is The Google Penguin Update?
Just in case you have forgotten, Penguin is designed to identify webspam and punish sites guilty of breaching the Webmaster guidelines of Google and reduce search visibility results using manipulative link building tactics is what we refer to as penguin.
What does the Penguin Algorithm change mean for a website owner?
Irrespective of whether you have been hit or not, you have to double your efforts. Keep in mind that Search Engine Optimization is not something you do once and forget about it. You shouldn’t even do it at long intervals; it has to be done regularly. Websites are like living organisms, you only need to let the right experts work on it and not just anybody.
SEO can be aided a great deal by a healthy link profile. You may leverage Domain Authority which enhances keyword ranking only if your links are properly managed. Several site owners have no clue that some links are harmful to their domain. Do not relent, the fact that you recovered from a hit or weren’t even hit in the first place doesn’t mean you can’t be hit really hard. To ensure your website is free of low quality links, you have to build and protect a responsible and stronger link profile, and when necessary, even clean up link profile.
